The dealer is new and has been offering the same product when he has more than one to the back up bidder at the same price as the high bidder paid. This, of course, violates the sacred rules of Ebay. And for that "immoral" trespass, he has been suspended for 30 days.

As a lawyer, I understand why the Ebay participants have to play by Ebay's rules. Still I've been offered chips as a back up bidder at the final bid price and did not think it improper. Someone must have ratted on this dealer.

So a word of warning to my dealer friends--if you do offer a chip to a back up bidder be sure that you know and trust your "friend."
