... on my own computer. It is working poorly (crashing frequently and won't operate some programs), but will at least let me retrieve email and read the BB (and occasionally, eBay). I will be getting a new computer sometime in the next few weeks, but in the meanwhile will struggle with this piece of junk.

Unfortunately, however, in attempting to fix the problems with this one, I inadvertently (and unknowingly) wiped out my back up files (on a slave hard drive). All of my emails are (at least temporarily) gone. I have taken the drive to a place called DriveSavers, which rescues data from corrupted or damaged disks and should know within 5-7 days whether they will be able to restore any of my files.

In the meanwhile, if anyone sent me anything which required a response and you haven't received one, please resend the original message. Those messages sent to me care of my daughter were saved by her and she is going to forward to me for response, so no need to resend those.

I expect to be here on a fairly regular basis again now and when I get my new computer will return fully to my normal activity (sorry! <g>).
