When it comes to dealing with a member or a non-member, I have more confidence with a member. The hobby and the number of collectors is relatively small and one's reputation will not go far if a bad transaction occurs. I'm so confident that I have no problem sending a chip prior to payment. The trust and comradre is unique and seldom shared in other hobbies.

I've met some wonderful people from this hobby and I hope we can put away the bickering and in-fighting and just keep us on the subject of chips.

For those who don't care for dealers... why such anomosity? If you are troubled by someone making a profit then don't patronize that individual. However, I don't think making a profit is a bad thing, unless we're in a communist state. Besides, do YOU know of anyone who is making a living dealing in chips? There are a few handful of people who are but for the most part they are just supplementing their income. Besides, without a dealer, who would you expect to be on the lookout for that elusive obsolete 50+ year old chip?
