I agree, Pete. The club is here for those that enjoy it. You don't have to be a member to be a chipper, but it helps. The club is here to support the hobby, not the other way around. I tend to rail against activities that are destructive to the hobby - bashing LEs, Chipcos, whatever, taking advantage of newbies through deceptive advertising, destroying the value of legitimate chips through forgery, that sort of stuff. When the club ceases to serve the needs of the members, including (or especially) new chippers, it will probably cease to exist. That would be a bad thing and we should guard against it. In the meantime we should enjoy it.
Now, with all the trading that goes on around here, would you care to trade membership numbers? I'm tired of being the newbie infiltrator! <g>
