>>>I know you believe I am not correct in attempting to get people to subscribe to Prodigy>>>
Wrong!
Just write it a little differently? Make up an actual advertisement. if you like. Just something a little more subtle and direct.
>>>All BBs including Greg's fine board allow for the purest form of free speech>>>
Again I agree! However, frustrating other collectors may not be the best way to go about it.
Believe me I do understand your zealousness in promting Prodigy.
Tell the folks here that the Prodigy exists, and what it's history is. Something like Michael did in an earlier post.
Remember that many people may not live in an access area and while they might like to subscribe it just isn't feasable or possible for them. And, while your article might be of great interest to them, they can NEVER access it.
I just called Prodigy and found out that they are no longer licensed in Canada so their service is ONLY available in the United States and Puerto Rico. They do have an 800 number where one can actually access the service anywhere in the "Continental" United States which costs an additional 8 cents per minute / $4.80 per hour with each use.
After all this:
People who are interested in Prodigy can download the software directly from Prodigy's web page at:
http://www.prodigy.com/classic/
I've created a direct link below.
All the information on using the software is there along with the 20 trial hours
information.
There are two numbers to call.
1-800-PRODIGY (1-800-776-3449)
1-800-825-5667
They have to definately ask for Prodigy Classic at the second number since it's for Prodigy Internet. Both services are available at the one price.
Lastly,
>>>I obviously am not going to change your opinion and you will not change mine>>>
See we still AGREE!..... :>)
