When and where members can use the club logo can be an interesting debate.

However, with the current club logo disclaimer regarding its use which reads:

"Permission is granted to club members and club chapters in good standing to use the modified version of the official club logo on their letterheads, envelopes, websites, business cards, etc. The modified version of the club logo differs from the official club logo, in that the word "MEMBER" or "CHAPTER" is clearly visible in a semi- circle box, or straight line box, immediately below the official club logo. The use of the official club logo without the "member" or "chapter" designation is strictly prohibited for use by individual club members and/or chapters."

In regards to Rene's current shirts, I for one haven't a problem with doing such a shirt if the shirts are "ONLY SOLD TO CLUB MEMBERS". In as much, as the logo as currently used, is shown with the logo and the words "Proud to be A MEMBER of the Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens Collectors Club Ask me for Information".

For Non-Members of the club to wear this club logo in this form, in my opinion, should not be allowed. If a non-member wearing this shirt were to be asked for "information", what could they possibly tell someone? And how would that make us look?

It's obvious that NO one including the club members/chapters can use it for any purpose that what is describe in this "Official" paragraph.

The problem I have is with the club's "Official Paragraph" and the use of the word, "etcetera".

"ETCETERA"! What is meant by this word, how is a club member to interpret it?

As I see the "Official Paragraph", leads me to believe that I, "as a member" can use the CLUB LOGO, only on items I do not have for sell, but it's still vague.

I believe that the club is allowing me "PERSONAL" the use of the club logo to inform others that I stand behind the club ethics regarding my transactions with others, and in a small way inform others that we do have a "CLUB".

In regards to a T-Shirt promoting the club. How about this idea? Allowing dealers and members to make up a shirt(etcetera) or other items using the club logo as I have pictured here?

This way if a Non-Member were wearing the club logo it would be obvious where someone else seeing it could get more information regarding our club. Also, in as much as Rene's shirts would be concerned here it is actual advertising for the club and a promotional item for his book and still a profit making device for him and or others using it.

BUT, we don't have a dedicated phone number for the club OUCH! Or the club member creating the item could use their OWN phone number.

BUT with prior Club Permission. Or change the "Official USE Paragraph".
