Doc; Here's a world government that must have it "wrong" also. I was just leafing through the current November issue of "The Numismatist". On page 1283 is the following press release on the Mexican Government's new millenium coins:

COIN TRIO CELEBRATES NEW MILLENNIUM To mark the arrival of the year 2000 and the beginning of the third millenium, the Central Bank of Mexico invited artists to particpate in a design contest for three commemorative 5-peso coins. Artists submitted designs in three categories; Mexican history during the second millennium; man's role in the preserving nature as he faces the new millennium; and world peace entering the third millennium.
