I've been trying to troubleshoot Archie's problem with some of the scans he sees on this board. I suspected it might be related to the 'tiny jpg files' that some of you seem to be able to generate. I see these just fine, but don't know how to produce them.
Anyway, I took a scan of a Rail City chip that Larry posted a couple of weeks ago and re-saved in in the standard jpg format that I use. This made a file about 6 times as big. Both of these view fine with my Netscape browser. Archie, however sees the smaller size file as very blurred, and the larger one just fine. He used the AOL browser.
I wonder if I could get a couple more AOL users on the board to look at these files and tell me what you see. The URL's are:
http://casino.cnchost.com/images/rail_city2_ncv.jpg
http://casino.cnchost.com/images/rail_city1_ncv.jpg
It's possible that a browser update will fix the problem. It's also possible that AOL's browser has a bug that doesn't allow optimum viewing of this kind of file.
