Massive eBay fraud, in my opinion. Literally dozens of separate auctions of modern poker chips being touted as rare casino chips. Mostly, the Nevada-Nevada Borland stuff. Also Scandia, Winners Circle and something I’ve never seen before: “Good Luck Casino” (The latter looks like a Paulson, which the seller touts as an “Oriental Casino.”)
Chip police mount up.
Meanwhile the usual crowd of “laissez-faire” “caveat emptor” apologists will likely defend these false ads. The seller throws in the term “poker chip” along with “casino” in the title, starts the auction with $1.00 and no reserve and mostly quotes from the chip, and artfully never uses the term "casino chip." Very wrong in my mind. But then he goes further.
He says “This casino is closed so chip is VERY RARE,” and “Wish I had it when casino was open. LOL.” So he not only cheats the buyer with this near-worthless stuff, but laughs in the buyer’s face! (He also wants $4.20 for postage-insurance.)
