Archie... Good point, and I am sure that and shill bidding goes on at other auctions too (actual and online). The auction system is far from perfect, but I applaud any efforts from ebay and anyone else to expose possible breaches of the argeement we agree to to participate. We are mainly talking about ebay here, and they do have rules that you agree to to become a registered user. Some are well known and some are not. I was warned by ebay for running an auction where the customer had a choice of a couple chips for their bid. I thought it was a good deal for the bidder, but it was against ebay rules (I was turned in by the infamous Mark). I contacted them and told them "Sorry I was unaware of the Rule, and won't do it again". If I would have gotten suspended for that I would have been happy to have people question me as to why I was suspended, and would have loved the chance to tell my story, rather than having people draw their own conclusions. So is ebay perfect... nope! But stuck in the middle of Iowa, it is a good alternative for me. I could not handle only being able to trade once a year at the convention. Talk to you later.
