My father's computer is still down and asked me to pass along this message to you.

"After battling breast cancer for more than five years, my wife Sandy died early this morning of cancer-related complications. She and I appreciated all of the expressions of support form so many members of the chipping community and I regret that most of you were never able to meet her.

Our four children were with us at the end, which was a great comfort to both Sandy and I.

One of Sandy's final requests was that I endow a memorial scholarship fund in her name at her alma mater, Dominican College in San Rafael. She also asked that donations be made to this fund in lieu of flowers or other condolences. Anyone inclined to make a donation can do so by addressing it to:

My computer is still non-functional, so I have asked my daughter to post this. I hope to be back on line in a week or so (looks like I am going to have to breakdown and buy a whole new computer as repair efforts have proved fruitless).
