Many of you know that I've been very hard to get in touch with for the last couple of months. Here is a photo of what I've been doing.

For the last 15 years, on halloween night, we put on a free spookhouse for little kids at my Sonic. 15 years ago I built an 8' x 12' spookhouse that we could put together and take down each year. It took 5 guys about 3 hours to put it together, then took me all the next day to decorate it and get it ready for our 3 hours promotion. Then, after the promotion we took it apart and stored it away until next year.

Last year I decided that was enough of that. For the last 2.5 months I've been building a new one. I bought a 18' x 7' car trailer and built a new spookhouse on it. It has all sorts of things in it, black lights, a monster cage with a live monster, scarey stuff built into the walls, a compressed air spout that sprays people when they walk by, etc. Inside it is a maze type thing that winds the visitors back and forth through the thing until they exit.

The best thing about it now is that I can just pull it in an hour before the promotion, open a little door and plug it in and I'm done. 3 hours later I load it up and I'm gone.

Tonight we put nearly 1,200 kids through the thing, all for free. It was quite a hit. Halloween night is always the highlight of my year and tonight was the best one ever.
