Greg, Even when you remove the gold hot stamp on either side of the chip, you can still feel the indentations made by the process. They have more of a tactile feeling & are nicer to fondle. BTW, I prefer to remove the hot stamping from the reverse rather than the obverse. Just a strange quirk to go along with some of my others.<g>
