Bridge Cafe has been in Newport as long as I can remember. It is a package liquor store with a cafe attached. They took horse bets for years. I have never heard of live gaming at the Bridge Cafe.

There is no doubt that the Woodland Inn chips are real.
I used to own a Joint about a mile down US 25 from the Woodland Inn called the Gay 90's. Bulldog Wright owner of the WI was a friend. We traded information on trouble makers. Not sure which joint had the most fights and shootings. They were hillbilly honky tonks. The state police were never in a hurry to respond to trouble calls at either joint.
