OK guys pay attention,

I went out to the garage, and looked at the front of my 1957 Chevy.
This < thing, is the Chevy hood emblem turned sideways.
They where not just on cars with v8 engines, they where on all Chevies for 1957, as noted in "Sixty Years of Chevrolet" by George H. Dammann copyright 1972.
Also They are not smooth, if you run your hand over the chip you can feel the emblem.
