Hi Christine,

If the chip wasn't packed in a bubble envelope, you have to ask the person who shipped the chip to remedy the situation UNLESS it was sent in a regular envelope marked "hand cancel only" AND insured, then you and the sender have recourse with the post office. Personally, I send everything in bubble envelopes AND insure them for $50, even stuff that's only worth $5. As to another response that I read in this thread about using UPS, while a shipper might be able to get reimbursed for a lost package without challenge, damaged goods claims are almost always challenged by UPS, even items that the ONLY way that they could have received the damage was to have been run over by a truck.
