For people I regularly trade with, a week or two doesn't concern me. For a first time trade, I assume that if they haven't responded in 3 or 4 business days, they aren't really interested. By the way, I believe it's common courtesy to inform your regular trading friends when you will be "off line" for any extended period so they don't think you've ignored their messages.
