Chipper Questioned for Soliciting, how's that for a headline?
Three chippers spent the night at Sky Ute Casino in southwest Colorado in order to have a chance at the issue of the anniversary chips at 7:00 AM. We knew that they would issue less than 100 $1 chips. There were 84 issued. The casino limited us to 5 chips per person. Now that is 400 miles from Denver, one way. We do have friends who want them, and would chip in for the gas (profit?). So we offered double face to people in the casino to buy $1 chips. The most successful at that was also the most obvious to the camera. Security took him outside for ID and questions. They said that was soliciting, not to do it again. Or Else. A bit uncomfortable to the apprehended chipper, but he kept his chips. Casino rules vs. Collector rules. It ain't easy.
