In addition to this tirade, Mark sent me 30 copies of an email response, which actually was no response at all. I will post ONE copy of this in a separate message.
BTW, Mark, I have not previously contacted eBay about you. I do intend to do so now and will send them copies of everything I have received, including your own emails.

Dear OnLineDeals ----- at the risk of invoking your ire (since I am a
regular on the Chip Board), I am writing to try to ameliorate some of
the harm which seems to have been done.
To begin with, I agree with the posters who said they thought your ad
description was accurate and your price fair. You are absolutely
correct that single Borland chips have been offered at much higher
prices than you are asking.
I also agree that any seller can sell any item for any price he wants,
so long as it is accurately and fairly described. Nevertheless, I also
agree with those who think it appropriate to call to task sellers who
post false, fraudulent or misleading auction descriptions.
Unfortunately, your auction got mixed up with that "$5000" auction of
the same chips. I consider the description of that lot misleading, in
that it calls the chips "casino chips" without qualification, leading
one who doesn't otherwise know to believe that they are (or at least
might be) real. The $5000 opening bid also implies, rather strongly,
that they are real.
The animosity toward you of some of the people on the chip board was a
result of the perception ----- or mis-perception ----- that you were
also the seller of the $5000 lot (perhaps attempting to promote interest
in your auction by making it look good by comparison).
Some of us who collect casino chips are very protective of our hobby and
therefore active in attempting to prevent sellers from taking advantage
of unknowledgeable new collectors. Generally speaking, the people on
the chip board are honest, straightforward and generous (go to the
archives and see the thread on the illness of Bob Mera, one of the
regulars on the board, and the response by many other members who have
made donations to help pay for his medical expenses).
As I said, I think your price is fair for the chips offered. I haven't
been a collector of these chips, but might start. Do you have another
set you're willing to sell at the $33.99 price?
Sincerely,
Jim Reilly

Hi, This is Mark, the pain in the rump. I wanted to let you know I read your
post tonight about my auctions.
THANK you for being fair about things.
I know I have come off nasty to many on the board after I got slammed
but, your right, I WAS trying to calm things down and have us all live in
just one world OR E-bay, whichever the case may be.
I too have my doubt's that is WAS Steve that did it but, it does not look
to good and, I honestly don't even know if the info listed was correct
about him or not, like the phone and such.
I may try and pop back in once in a while and just read what MOST are
saying and try to make my auctions appear less and less on your boards as
being the type Y'all don't like. I can only go by what most say and won't
be falling into a war of words with the few on the board anymore, I feel
some were just trying to get my goat and, like a fool, I let them.
Anyway, I mainly wanted to Thank you for your un biased thoughts on this
matter,
Mark

As you know, I defended you early on in your dispute with others on the
chipboard over your eBay auctions. While I would probably be more
forthcoming in my auction descriptions if I was selling on eBay (which, to date, I have not done), I still do not find your descriptions worthy of either a complaint to eBay or the kinds of complaints you are getting from some of the posters on the board.
On the other hand, I am very distressed by a message which you sent to
another chipper and which has been forwarded to me. In it, you said:
>> Well, lets see if mark can cause some fire in the AM. I saw they already
had a scam going about the Bond chips so, i did my dirty work too, had a few
buds bid some mighty high bids on his auctions but, let's keep that private. <<
This indicates to me that you do in fact know who the two guys are that
have been running up the bids, despite your public denials, and that they are
doing so at your urging. This is a serious violation of eBay rules --- and is
just wrong, no matter what your motivation might have been.
Would like to hear what you have to say about this. ----- jim o\-S

Dear Jim,
My "causing fire" meant I was running a bunch of auctions which I KNEW they would not like. As far as the high bids went I had nothing to do with that. when I wrote to her about that I had already seen the bids made. It's nice in this world to know who your friends are, I now know another whom is not a cyber friend.
I had nothing to do with their bids on my items nor with the ones on the other parties.
What you were given was sent out of context, You received a small portion of many e-mails. I was #####ed, very #####ed that they kept screwing with me then, I have this other "chipper" whom is suddenly real nice to me, too nice if you know what I mean. It got me wondering why she would be writing to me.
Since it seems that that little board has many with nothing more to do all day then read my ads, I figured I had nothing to lose by making a statement in jest. If you recall, I had MANY auctions screwed up myself. the auctions they had running cost them about 25 cents each, mine cost me well over $100. why on EARTH would I screw up my own auctions?
I kept trying to get E-bay to help, they were not too responsive at first but, in the end they helped some. The one auction I had was ended after I forwarded it over to E-bay complaining that I had no chance to get more bids in on it, that auction should have went quite well. It was for Printer cables. My cost= $1 each, I had already cleared my expenses and was showing a profit on it, it still had a lot of time to run as well.
If you think about it, I am here to make money, NOT to throw it away. Also if you check on some of your fellow chippers comments, Bob's mainly, you shall see where he makes statements about Not being able to reach my bidder's, that got him MAD. VERY mad. While I don't have any proof on whom did what, nor does anyone else out there, it surely does not look good when he makes those comments and then , suddenly my bids go nuts.
As you have seen many on that system like to blame me for everything, I made mention of some chips which I bought on E-bay, since the seller was in Nevada, they claimed we were on in the same and reported it to e-bay which, in the end did not harm me at all. BUT was just another tactic they have used to harass me. YES I said it but NO I had nothing to do with it. (also keep in mind dice's e-mail to me, stating he was happy my auctions were screwed up and he hoped they
kept messing with them)
ALSO as for the gent whom was in the newspaper, he openly claimed in the papers that he rather enjoys messing with folks bidders and harassing sellers of the borland chips, E-bay was not amused by that and has asked me to forward over to them a link to the paper, once it is done in the AM I doubt he will be selling on e-bay anymore.
I know you have made statements in the past that were helpful to me and, I am glad you did but, I ask that you see this from my point of view.
I have been harassed since day one, on a hourly basis. My bidder's have received e-mails which, have been forwarded to me from "chipper's" trying to declare me as a fraud and to make them retract their bids. When I noticed they were having some problems, I was happy, it served them right. i have not made any false bids on anything, the only bid that I know of that was made by me from a "chipper's" auction was one for the guy with the bone marrow problem. I bid like $25 for a chip I could get for half that amount anywhere.
I can't control what you want to believe with this, but I know what I have and have not done and, I have had nothing to do with those bids, my best guess would be Bob, if you also note, the bidder's name on the auctions i had destroyed came back as Steve Brock. I have no knowledge of his personal information nor do I even know if it was all correct or not but, he did not deny it being correct so, I can only assume it is. I did not EVER go to anyone in this, some came to me
with complaints. Before this chip board came to me I had no problems in ANY of my auctions, it was AFTER they came to ME that I have had MANY auctions messed up and hundreds of dollars in fee's lost and thousands lost in sales.
Whatever you opt to believe is your choice and if they want to send E-bay after me for the millionth time, that's fine, we are getting to know each other well now, Dang near on a first name basis, Mark
P.S. Let your "source" know to leave me alone, Mark
