Re: Fond-du-Luth??
In Response To: Re: Fond-du-Luth?? ()

I am unsure of the meaning of the III on the Fond Du Luth Chips. This design is repeated on their tokens. Your question concerning another location for their casino is the main reason I am posting this response.

Black Bear Casino, located in Carlton Minnesota runs a shuttle bus from that casino to the one in Fond Du Luth. The tokens issued from Black Bear indicates that the same Indian Tribe is associated with both casinos.

Both casinos use Chipco's on their tables, and neither has a slot club. Black Bear Casino is certainly the nicer of the two, located right off the interstate (35). It makes for a nice casino run, as Hinckley casino is located about two miles of 35. You can easily hit all three casinos in a day (if you do not stay to gamble too long that is). Hole in the Wall, just over the border from Hinkcley is about 35 miles away if you want to add that to the mix.
