Robert, here is your answer.
First of all, as unusual as it may be, I don't wait until I receive a check to send the order. I ask the person for their address and send the chips out immediately. This way, the buyer does not have to wait a week or two for his chip. This particular person sent me his address but it appears to me that it might be being delivered to an address other than his home and I just wanted to make sure that the buyer in fact receives the chip.
What if the address was to a large company with thousands of employees. How would the mail room know to whom this particular package belonged.
I have no problem with the person staying anomymous but I want to make sure he gets it. Let him use an A.K.A. or whatever.
Now I know it is unusual for someone to mail chips to someone unknown without first receiving a check, but in the same instance, how does this person know that after he sends me the check I will give him his order. The trust is mutual. If I get stung, with the cost of my chips it is no big deal. Hell, I lost $100.00 last night playing Omaha so what if I lose another few bucks. Besides, I find that this trust I put in a person makes him feel good and creates good public relations.
I hope this answers your question in detail
Paul
