100f TABARIN CASINO - NICE, FRANCE

CASINO TABARIN - NICE, FRANCE - Circa: 1930s

The casino was located at 29, rue Pastorelli, NICE.

The only chip recorded from the casino was a 5f
laminated plastic jeton with a serial number 0820,
which is currently housed in the most prestigious
French casino collection known. The chip was prior
property of Monte-Carlo coin dealer Victor GADOURY
(deceased).

About five years ago a small box containing 100f
chips and 1000f plaques was found in Paris. I was
made aware of the find and purchased the box with
its contents.

All the plaques have been sold, and 15-pieces of the
100f chip remain and are available at $33.00 each.

The chip is 40mm (1-1/2") in size and Art Deco
design which was probably typical of the complete
inventory. Each piece is serial numbered.

INFORMATION:

The other casinos (recorded) that were located in
Nice from 1881 are:

Municipal. Jetée-Prominade, Grand, Cercle de la
Méditerranée, Casino du Zoo, Cercle d'Europe,
Eldorado, Palace, Théatre Renaissance, Veriétés,
Nuoveau Casino, Casino Club, Palais de la
Méditerranée, Cercle Artistique and Casino Ruhl.
