.....of a hurricane that is. Kind of neat. Wind & rain....calm....more wind & rain. Wasn't too bad today, only lost a couple trees & power for about 8 hours. Bob Whiteman in Yorktown got it worse than us. He was on the west side of Floyd where all the heavy rain was. Big time flooding. Hope he's OK. At one point ALL major roads leading inland from Va. Beach/Hampton Roads were underwater & impassable. Couldn't get out if we wanted to. A real mess .......... We gladly sent Floyd on his way to bother everyone in Atlantic City. <g>

FYI........many have asked where I'm at in relationship to the NC Outer Banks, where the news people & weather people always make reference to. We are 10 miles from the NC border & 40 miles from Nags Head. Just a stone's throw.......
