I'm here - From the notes posted it appears Rene has replaced Vince & Betty for convention publicity. Rene, this is a BIG responsibility. Do a good job!!! I don't believe you would do anything to hurt our organization. However, I also believe the time has come to put the organization first and your individual profit motive second. If you do it smart your profit will grow as a by-product of the quality work you do for the organization. Good Luck.

I don't believe the club should have to hire anyone to do anything! It has been an all volunteer organization and should stay that way. I have always been for growth. I am willing to accept slower growth rather than empty the treasury and pay an organization to push "my" club to the outside world. I am willing to spend club funds picking up the expenses of VOLUNTEERS but I will not support hiring outside firms who know nothing of my hobby for the sake of a "possible" increase in membership. The club president is my friend. Being my friend he knows who I am and how I am. Janice O'Neal is also my friend. The whole mess between Janice and the club has caused me grief. However, I have never allowed friendship to come between what I believe doing is right. I intend to voice my opinions and share my beliefs with all who are willing to listen.

I have been silent allowing the new club officers the opportunity to take control. However, when it comes to HOW and WHERE club funds are spent I can become very vocal. I use to get on Archie's case for being "cheap".<g> This will not be a problem with our new board. I believe the reverse is true.

Such are my opinions and beliefs - I hope I can always share them honestly and without bias. Best, Jim
