I have thought about this, especially since I had single bypass surgery last February (at age 39!) What I have done is to make a list of chips, with the price I payed, complete description and estimated resale value. It is on the computer and I update it and print it out from time to time as I get a few new chips. I keep the chips at present in plastic coin holder sheets in a large ring binder. There is a pocket in the binder and the current list is in there. There is also a number for each chip that corresponds to a number on a sticker that is on the outside of the back of each chip, so there will be no mix up.
It will at least serve as some guide for my wife if anything happens.
