Hi Bob! First of all, I know I take a back seat to you & Gene when it comes to autographs, I rate as only an amateur in comparison.....seriously. I've collected chips for less than 2 years and autographs for only about 6 months. Gene got me started and I'm having fun chasing them, seems to have added some spunk back into my life. Available resources seems to dictate what I get their autographs on, I don't have a large amount of chips to choose from. If they do not have their own chip, I usually try to get them on one that they would associate with. In Len Dawson's case, the Sam's Town was the only KC chip I had 2 of that an autograph would show up well on. When Len signed, he actually commented it was nice to have a KC chip for him, the first chips he had ever signed, (music to my ears). I guess it's as simple as that Bob.
