In the 1980's I was in AC on a one day trip; played some poker at Bally's--and quit about $200 up. With a half hour before the bus back to NYC, I walked out the north entrance and saw a kind of flea market in the park area in front of the Claridge and Sands. So I strolled over. There at a table was a green "25" Brighton chip. I didn't have any Brighton at the time. Trembling, I asked the price and the seller, a little old lady, said, "$2.00." I snapped it up. What a trip: $200 at live poker; and a genuine obsolete Brighton's chip for $2.00. Sometime later with Archie's book discovered that my Brighton chip was valued at $2.00. So don't despair, Rene--if it is now at $5.00 it is caught in a wild uphill inflationary rise. <g>
