Are you just proud of yourself? I can assure this entire group that there are many a things that you knew to be true which, later were proven WRONG. I was told by the Casino's that these pieces WERE solid silver. It NEVER came to mind for me to tear one apart, why would I.
I have NO problem with admitting I was wrong when I am wrong, that is all part of being a MAN or, WOMAN, whichever might be the case.
HOWEVER if in this case I WAS correct and YOu were wrong, I would not sit there like my three year old saying" I told you so, nah nah nah nah nah" It's just being a baby.
I think we ALL can relate that at some point and time in our lives we were wrong.
Did I intentionally mis-represent the item? NO not at all. Was I CHARGING for the item? NO what was the cost of the item to the bidder? NOTHING IT WAS FREE.
WOW, Shame on me for GIVING something away. My auctions WITHOUT the Silver opps, better make that some metalic type disc which is shiny in most case and has a Brass/ Gold tone on the outer edges and could be worth something, might not be worth a damn, hell might even get you smacked by your wife if she thinks it's a condom. Opps, I guess I'm getting carried away like some other party we know, anyway even without the item, the prices were not bad.
The funny thing I have found is that many of your True collectors (meant sincerly) tend to also own these types of chips, some might have been snuck with them, some bought them outright.
Now, with the above being true, that many have them, would you even THINK that MAYBE you are COLLECTING them? For WHATEVER reasons? I thought so.
By chance, do you list all sorts of disclaimer's in YOUR ads? Do you honestly list that the item they are buying may be worthless soon enough? The stock markets have to tell folks, right? NO you consider that they must know that nothing is a sure thing.
All I ever did was run an auction.
As stated before as some may know, I am a single parent of some little girls. I am not able to work due to health reasons and, even in good health (NOT looking for sympathy AT ALL, don't need it, don't have time for it) anyway, even if in good health, i would have to find something to do to EARN a living and raise my children.
If I did not sell on E-bay the odds are I would be on Welfare. AND YES I WAS ON IT FOR A SHORT TIME BEFORE. BUt I am PROUD to say i'm off it. I used it when I had no choice, now I am able to take care of myself.
I pay for all the things y'all do, I have great private health care for my kids and even pay the nasty Custody schmucks, err, lawyers. NO offense there Travis, I just don't like your type-nothing personal. ;-) <G>
I work each day with this stuff, I sawa chance to offer a product to folks which fills a need. I went onto a public type system to do it. I paid over $900 in E-bay fee's this month alone.
I EARN a few bucks on some chips which many desire. I ALSO BRING folks into a market that they may NEVER have been to before, I CREATE intrest in YOUR hobby which, helps keep in well and alive and thriving.
I don't even TRY to act like I make the world happen for I don't BUT I DO help you. Lets be honest here, if anyone has noticed an increase to thier auctions simply state it, if you feel you have lost sales due to my auctions, say it.
If I was to learn that my earning a few bucks from MY auctions TRULY harmed your hobby, I would and will stop selling them. That is just the way I am.
So, let's be honest here folks, if you can, slap a counter to your auction and lets see what happens.
I have been toying with some new ads, ones that I am sure will tick many off BUT if they take the time to READ the AD portions, I feel they will be happy with them, I also know I can't please everyone so, I will only try for my best.
If I can also get some to agree here to not step on my sales by jumpng me to it, I may also be willing to POST my ads HERE first, allowing for a couple of days worth of comments to see what you think of them. I do this NOT because of smart a#$#$@ like this guy BUT to try and have PEACE will those whom are reasonable. Sound like a plan?
In time you will get to know me better and might even come to like me, as for the guy who posted the smart stuff, I think in time, after you get to know me better you will only hate me more.
Well folks, I know this was a long one, maybe you can see where I get my long long long ads from huh? It's NEAT to "chat" so to speak with folks my own age, rather then just little ones all the time
