Gene,
What else can you say??? Nothing , I hope!<g> Just kidding GeneO.
I do honestly disagree with your advice about a buyer of a Nevada mold should check his/her TCR to find out if it is a fake. TCR has a few errors regarding Boreland chips. If a buyer does not buy a few that are marked "fake" - the buyer will miss out on GREAT chips. THESE FEW ARE NOT FAKE!!!!
The authors of TCR are trying to protect collectors from making a purchase mistake. We all know individuals have to make mistakes to learn.<g> Take the Flamingo Capri chips; most collectors should learn how to tell a Boreland from a real one and not worry what's listed as "fake" etc. in the various price guides. Billy Capri ordered GREAT chips and they should be collected by individuals.
Doug Saito has written a couple of articles in his Chip Chat concerning Boreland chips and how to tell the real ones from the fakes. My suggestion would be for those who are interested to purchase the back issues and learn for themselves. You can reach Doug at 1-619-296-3502. By the way, not all the Borelands that Armin was selling are fake. Oh yeah you're right I am giving my friends magazine a "PLUG".<vbg> Best, Jim
