Well I have received some letter's from some other's about these chips. First, the second set of ships does not include the same things as the others do so, lower price.
I would like to THANK some whom opted to NOT bash me. i have worked on getting that other auction where the jerk was selling "my" chips for $5000.00 which, was just plain wrong. I went ahead and killed my pictures on my Featured auction to help STOP someone from buying them from him.
After hours on the phone, long distance, I came to understand that you simply can NOT get ANYTHING done on E-bay using the phone.
In the end, this party's ad either shut down OR ended. I am not sure of which but, since I DID bid on them and then retracted my bid, stating this was a rip off and then not being able to pull them up using my bod on item feature OR by his name, I can only assume it was shut down.
We received a letter and phone call from E-bay about this, they showed us what to do in the eventthis ever happens again. We did not know we had as many rights on E-bay as we do. They consider any pictures that we place to be copyrighted.
I took my actions, not to please folks here so much BUT to try and hep some other's out so they did not get burned. My changing of my pictures and then not knowing how to properly place them back up sort of destroyed my auction BUT i have NO regrets.
As for these items being considered "Casino Chips" when they come in to me, they are in cases from the maker noting them as "CASINO CHIPS" I would only assume a multi million dollar firm is correct in what they state them to be. If someone would like to take them on or beat them up, simply let me know, i will tell you who they are.
As many have noted, my prices for these chips is NOT out of line, MANY folks on this board whom I have checked out have also sold these SAME chips for $3-$5 EACH. When added up that comes out to either $63 or $105 for the chips alone, then add some for the cards and then the Silver Strikes.
I am a single father of four, I take care of my children and work out of my home selling on e-bay. I work on e-bay rather then collecting welfare as some would and, since it is much wiser for me to stay home and work the auctions rather then paying about $150 per child, per week for child care. If one adds that up, I need to earn atleast $600 per week for child care alone, then comes food and such, like the rest of us have to pay.
What I do is earn a HONEST living. Nothing wrong with that at all. As for my Featured auction, I took a chance with just over $115 to run an auction which perhaps could fill a nitch for those whom can't afford to fly or drive out to Vega$ and buy the chips themselves.
I truly believe there is some value to the buyer's NOT having to drive around and find these chips. It's sort of like 7-11's and such, it cost you more to buy a gallon of milk from them but, it's cheaper then driving all around to save a buck.
If I checked all the e-mails I have received on this and took all the advice from this site (which is what I will even call the outright ignorant post as well) and then made a new ad using the comments I STILL could not please everyone. I try to be as fair as I can about any item I sell. I have not seen many write about their products like I do.
On party whom was trying to be helpful from this board and, may very well have helped me to end the BJames ad said in a CC of a letter that my ad was correct it not quite winded. His comment was about the overall length of my writtings. I did not take this bad since to me, that means I have taken the proper time to explain as much about this product as I could. I answered about every question anyone could have, right in my ad. How many other's do that? How many take the time? not many.
I would like to thank those whom took the time to truly READ the ad and make some fair comments about them. I have even had some write me from this board and decide they wanted to buy the sets OR certain chips.
If we think about this for just a moment, what is the cost of just plain chips of this quality? A lot more then my price.
If you happen to think that some new collector out there is going to come to these chips, thinking I have hundreds of sets of these chips which are worth over $28K and only pay about $37 for them, then you must also think they are plain stupid which, I don't. I tend to give folks some credit for being smart.
My ads also show that these chips cannot be used in ANY casino and that they represent former Casino's. In fairness I do list that the possible values of these chips could go anywhere and, they can. How you say? Well look at TY's Corps Beanie babies. They make millions of them yet, they are worth some big bucks. I sold some last year which I paid $25 each for and they fetched nearly $8000.00 EACH. Why? Who knows, it's a silly little toy that someone wants.
With my chip ads I would like to know of ONE person whom has NOT had MORE traffic to their auctions which, will only help to bring in higher bids?
Folks whom have NEVER looked for chips on E-bay are NOW looking at them, the ones YOU have are now more desireable to them. this has helped you out too, if you sell if your a buyer, odds are it hurt you since prices are going higher.
No matter what I say or do, someone out there will always scream. Soem claim this is Fraud, Oh foey, that's just plain stupid. These chips are what they are and will bring whatever someone wants to pay for them, as for me placing more ads on them, yes i have and, YES there will be a LOT more soon.
I am also bringning in other chips, the same types most of you like, my prices will be very low, it might hurt some of you out there whom sell but, those of you whom buy will enjoy it, again, I can't please them all. in this case, the only suggestion I can offer is, if my other auctions hurt your sales, then buy them all from me.
I happened to luck out and obtain TONS of chips (REAL chips for those whom claim the others are not real chips) some are quite old, some newer and rare. We even have some that were burned in the MGM fire. If you happen to be one of those whom feel I am ripping folks off with the other chips then please, don't bid on these since you would not want to deal with a person like me. For those whom see my ads for what they are, Go for it, your sure to find some true bargains.
I will try and check this site out from time to time and answer some questions for folks but please, don't bring this screaming stuff to me on my e-mail server, I really don't need to hear someone scream that I am a thief since I work and raise my family
