Back in November of 1998 this guy bought some sets of James Bond Chips from me.
For those of you that were not around back then or don't remember, that was back when I was "Mr. James Bond"! If you think these James Bond Chips are going high now, you should have seen it then! $70 - $100 a set was not uncommon. So I decided that I would be the "James Bond Police". I had a constant ebay auction running with these chips for $10. The description was very explicate and derogotory, saying these chips can be bought very cheaply and were available in great quanity. I said I would not insure them for shipping because they were not worth it, ect. Thanks to Gene Trimble and others who helped me out by visiting Paulson's and kept me stocked. We really cut down the prices being paid on ebay for these chips.
But back to reelart. He purchased a number of these sets from me. I have positive feedback from him still showing on my ebay account. Of course these chips could not be the same ones he is auctioning off now, because he states he purchased these "years ago" from a "reputable dealer" along with some other movie props. He also would not be able to supply a valid "Certificate of Authenticity" on the chips he got from me. Unless this "certificate" stated that "These chip originally came from the Paulson Store in Las Vegas, where they were purchased for 63 cents each, and I bought them from a guy in Iowa". I am sure his "real" movie chips are much better than the ones he got from me. Boy, those ones I sold him must have been darn good fakes, they do look just like the ones in his ad!
