Though what you describe doesn't fully sound like
the work of a rip artest, but 5-weeks is still an
unusual period of time without a response -
especially if your check hasn't been paid out. This
could lead to any number of unusual reasons for you
not even hearing an echo.... with hospitalization
not being discounted. I mention this only because
of my experience of being hospitalized 31-days last
year with pending business being unattended.

You did come to the right place to equire, Brandi,
and perhaps we could all learn from your experience.
Hope all turns out well for you.

By the way (general information): I did reconcile
with all parties involved (none, except one was a
chipper) with the exception of receiving a negative
feedback on eBay by a buyer who freaked when I
wasn't able to answer his e-mail. The IRS still
feels I should pay my penalty for being "late" in
paying my quarterly -- even with hospital discharge
documentation!!!
