As for my ancestors, they came over on a boat about 1896, so we didn't have anything to do with the slaves or the taking of America. I wish people would figure that out and stop accusing me and my relatives of anything. But the generic cultural guilt trip is as popular as being politically correct, and neither has a close relationship to reality.

Above all else, I am an individual, just like other people I meet. I'm not a group, class, race, or color. So simple isn't it?
