The reserve auction works the same as any other auction in regards to the bidding. The only difference would be if your $35 hit the reserve. Then it would go up to your $35. If you bid $35 and the reserve was $30, it would have went up to $30. All of the auctions keep your high bid secret. At the end of the auctions as a seller, I would be dissappointed to find out some one was willing to pay a high bid of $60 and it went for $40. In the reserve auction, you can always ask the seller what his reserve was. Since your $35 didn't meet it, the reserve could be $40 and you might be willing to pay it.
