Just came back from the El Conquistador in Puerto Rico. This resort is about an hour from San Juan on the Northeast corner of the island. This part of the island did not receive major damage from hurricaine Georges, but there were many new utility poles to replace all the old ones that fell during the storm. The resort was in top form with only minimal notice of any storm damage.
The casino is medium in size, about 10 black jack tables, 3 roulettes, 3 caribbean stud and 3 craps tables. All tables were crowded and there was always a wait. They only use $1, $5, $25, $100 and up chips, no .50 or $2.50. They are replacing their racks one denomination at a time. There were a few new $1.00 chips on the tables, same design as the old. All $5.00 chips were replaced recently although there were some old LE very worn chipcos from 1996. Both old and new $25 chips were being used, old were lime green, new were dark green. All chips were H&C with the standard "waves logo" on the insert.
I have just a couple of the $1.00 chips available as traders, had to fight with the cage to get them in new unused condition. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.
