By no means am I taking anything personal, David --
just simple healthy conversation as far as I'm
concerned. In fact, I agree with you why some
sellers use the reserve. Personally, though, I do
not like bidding on lots with reserves. But, I am a
bit confused as to you suggesting "it sounds a bit
like an attempt to keep prices artificially high."
I was always under the impression that the buyer
sets a price on a luxury item by either purchasing
it or not.
