There was a preliminary plan or idea to have a Planet Hollywood hotel/casino connected to the new Aladdin, you're correct Travis. They cancelled the plans when the new Aladdin was still in the conceptual stage.

Going even further back, there was discussion of a Planet Hollywood hotel/casino on the Desert Inn grounds, back when ITT still owned the Desert Inn. Again, nothing came of it.

In my opinion, some of this talk was probably just competitive ego to keep up with the Hard Rock.
