The long awaited and long anticipated, volume two of "A Guide to Florida's Gaming, Chips, Checks and Tokens" will be making its' debut at the Biloxi show next weekend. Mark & Myrna Lighterman, with minimal help from me, have produced an outstanding work which, IMHO, rivals anything on the market. There is a extensive section on illegal casinos, with never before seen pictures of the interiors & exteriors of clubs, as well as newly discovered and attributed chips from many casinos. All of the parimutuel poker facilities are included as well as the Indian facilities. Day cruise ships which ply the offshore waters all around the state are listed and all chips, tokens & SPT's are pictured in full, living & vivid color. This is a must reference guide for anybody that collects chips and tokens from the Sunshine State, as well as those that specialize in illegal casinos and their chips. This was a monumental effort, with particular attention paid to accuracy, thouroughness, scope, and historical importance. There are 350 pages crammed full of invaluable information for the chip collector. An easy to use checklist as well as a cross-reference to the first volume is included. I could go on and on with praise and recognition for this effort, without fully describing what is included. IT IS A MUST HAVE BOOK FOR ANY REFERENCE LIBRARY! Books can be ordered from Mark Lighterman who can be contacted at: mlighter@bellsouth.net
By the way, an interior picture of the famous & elusive Dixie Duck is there for all to see. All chips, up to the $500 are included, for those sceptics who have belittled this outstanding vessel! That alone is worth the price!<G>
