The 25 cent chips at MGM Grand Detroit are now GONE! They now use $2.50 chips on mini baccarat, baccarat, pai gow tiles, and pai gow poker and round down on the quarter incriments. Example, if you bet $25 they charge $1, If you bet $50 they charge $2.50 $75 they charge $3.50 etc. etc.
I asked a pit mgr. why they stopped using the .25 chips, he told me that people were keeping them as souveniers and they ran out. I assume it is cheper to eat the .25 on certain bets than to order .25 chips that cost .67, right???
Anyway, add this to the list of obsoletes from this casino!!!
