Yes, there are differences other than die wear but you have to have 3-4 of the different chips to compare the chips or it is very hard to differentiate. The $100 and $500 have the addtional distinction of possibly being a counterfeit since you cannot tell unless you peel the plastic off and note the major differences in brass core construction. Even the plastic had up to 8 years of wear / age. No one can tell so who cares....other than the casino and they are obsolete and off the tables now. Redemption period well past.
