Las Vegas, The first 100 Years

If you are a history buff, here is the history of LV written in 3 parts for the Millennium. Part 3 to be added in Sept.

Be sure to click on Tony Cornero in part 1.
The Meadows was the first casino in LV to have stars appear (1931) Way before its time and went bust. No chips known and no record of a license ever being issued, per Harvey Fuller. It did have a license, probably destroyed in the fire at the White Horse Motel in Reno as many licenses were. Tony also built the Stardust and at one time had the Apache Hotel (Horseshoe today)(He called it the SS Rex). No chips known from the Apache or SS Rex in LV.
