I think we've been on the same side of this issue before.

It takes a lot of time and energy to maintain an active site on the web and eBay. It takes fresh, interesting and yes creative writing to help your merchandise "stand out" amongst the over 2 MILLION other items on eBay.

As an eBay seller... We do the best scans we can and describe the item accurately and in a way that we hope will bring TOP DOLLAR! I don't list an item hoping that it will sell for the lowest possible price.. DUH!!

For some reason, there seems to be a lot of people around who want to tamper with eBay listings if they don't personally agree with something in them. Listening to these "armchair auctioneers" gets a little old some time, I agree.

I have found a way to deal with these folks who tamper with your auctions, undermine your high bidder, and and cherry-pick your secondary bidders.

When you list an item on eBay, you have the option of making your auction a "private" auction. This used to be for the "porno dealers" who figured their customers wouldn't want their email address posted on eBay when they bid on a strap-on dild* or dirty movie. A "private" auction "hides" the bidders email addresses and thus prevents the "armchair auctioneers" from tampering with your auctions... There are no email addresses of the bidders shown on your auction page. How frustrating that must be for them!

Some of the other web auction venues automatically "hide" the bidders identity. They do this to prevent bidder tampering and other people siphoning off bidders from your site which you worked hard to create for that auction.
