Re: NOMINATIONS FOR THE CC&GTCC

Jim; Please allow me explain to you how voting for chip of the year and token of the year works, since you stated that you don't like the procedure. Think of the process as one big committee. In order to serve on the committee you must first express that you are interested in the process by sending in a nomination... ONE nomination for a single chip or single token, if you prefer. EVERY club member who submits a nomination is automatically on the election committee and receives a color copy of the top ten chips nominated and the top ten tokens nominated. If a club member demonstrates that he/she is not interested in the activity, or committee, by not nominating their favorite chip/token that was issued that particular year, why would the club want to go through the work and expense of sending color copies of the chips nominated and ballots to members who ovbiously don't care one way or the other? Or better yet, think of the process as registering to vote. Citizens of this country can't vote if they are not a registered voter. My analogy being, that by nominating candidates for C&T of the year, you are in effect registering to vote on the final selections. Them's are the rules Jim. Hope I've explained the why's and how's to your satisfaction. Archie
