Here's the story Gene alluded to but apparently was too busy to post: From the LV Review/Journal [in part]:
"The Tropicana unveiled plans Tuesday to open at
the Strip resort a museum dedicated to the nearly 70-year
history of Nevada gaming.
The Casino Legends Hall of Fame will open in
January, the Tropicana announced in a statement. The
5,000-square-foot museum will house artifacts from 738
casinos, 550 of which no longer exist.
More than 10,000 items, including historic memorabilia such as casino chips, are set to be on display."
"'This is truly a one-of-a-kind attraction and a
must see for tourists and locals alike," said museum
curator, Steven Cutler.
"Admission will be $4, with a $3 ticket for seniors."
