I get many trade lists from people. Most are in Excel spreadsheets and/or word processing files.

I would like to suggest that if you go to all the trouble of making up a trade list then please put your name in the file somewhere. I was just doing a little housecleaning of my download directory and deleted 4 different trade lists because I couldn't tell who they belonged to anymore.
