I feel that dumping them all at a fair price is the best way to do it.This way, no one gets hurt. The seller (if not greedy) can set a price to make a fair profit and EVERYBODY pays the same price.
By going piece by piece, soon everyone will see that there are a bunch out there and force the price down anyway.......hurting the early buyers (see Glitter Gulch chips among others).
The Horseshoe arodies are another good example. Also, if the find is large enough, the seller would have to sit on the chips for most of his or her lifetime to see them all sell at a high price.
This subject has been discussed before with strong arguments for BOTH sides being made. All I know is I'd rather know how many of a chip were found/available before I commit to a purhase.
