Yes indeed there were some private sales before the convention.
I know that the chips that were sold during the convention were priced at TCR levels, yet depending on the total, a discount may or may not have been given, thus resulting in a price lower than TCR.

Since I was not one of the "lucky" ones to purchase some of these chips prior to the convention, I can't comment on the prices realized...

Still it should be "fun" to see what "rare" chips come out, and the resultant prices they are offered for - not to mention realize!
