Thank you, John. I finally got you to tell me where I can find the answer to my question. And althought I know it will do no good to repeat my ignorance to you and admit that I don't know why a crest and seal is called a crest and seal, I at least found out from you that I can research it for myself by going to Chequers.
You see, althought I know you won't believe this either, I only went to the Chequers BB once or twice last year and found it to be just a duplication of what was on Greg's board which I found to be much superior, and never bothered to return. Now thanks to your quiding light, I now know where to search to get my questioned answered and see that Chequers is indeed a viable source of imformation for some people.
But thanx to a few "friends" that I may have, the answer to my question has been promised to me via e-mail this afternoon so I no longer need to continue this post.
Just one more thing and that will be the end of it. Yes, I do know what a Crest and seal looks like thanx to the posting at the beginning of this thread by Steve Snowden, but I still don't know why it is called that as I don't see a seal or a crest. It may be my age, my eyesight, my lack of another educational degree or even my ineptness of the English language that I don't understand just what is meant by a seal or a crest.
I have always been taught that to sharing of knowledge was something to be cherished. I guess I was wrong again. I just wonder what the world would be like if everyone felt that knowledge was so sacred that it shouldn't be shared.
