I have proposed a cruise for the last 4 years, both here & on Prodigy. I had my travel agent look into prices & she found a number of great deals on major cruise ships, unfortunately not the Dixie Duck, beginning at $600 a person, not including airfare to Florida. For every 10 persons taking the trip you would get one free cruise which could themn be divided among the entire group for an additional discount. We could have cabins on one floor & all eat at the same time for those inclined. Various itineraries are available. I particularly like the ones leaving out of Puerto Rico where we could all pile into Al Rollins' bus for a grand casino tour of the island. A few days in PR with all their casinos & then on to St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Marteen & Martinique. I have taken this route & it's really spectacular, especially the midnight buffet for 6 nights in a row. If there is enough interest I would be more than happy to try to put one together. You just have to remember that the cheapest time to take a cruise is during hurricane season, which begins in June & ends in November. The last time I tried to put this together everybody has different dates that they could sail. If we set a date & book early enough there are really great deals on mega-liners that can't be beat.
