Thanks, Larry! That's the "SUN" inlay I mentioned in my previous post. Even the author Thomas C. Day, "Casino Tokens of Monte-Carlo" admits it's just about impossible to both date and list the Monaco chips in any exact order of use/play, especially with the older materal. Luckilly, we know when certain European manufactures began production, and that kind of gives us a range as to when some of the older material was used. Also, some of the more recent production is following the colors and combinations of designs of chips from years past, but in different sizes and composition, of course. The study of Monaco material is no easy task, especially when one gets into the early years.
